ABOUT S-HUB

A CORPORATE KNOWLEDGE NETWORK FOR SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS
Sustainability Hub Norway (S-HUB) is a non-profit corporate knowledge network, founded in 2017, aiming to accelerate the work of sustainable business in Norway. The network is one of Norway’s leading corporate sustainability networks, with more than 120 member organisations across many different sectors (from energy to food) and leadership functions (from the CFO to the CSO), where sustainability professionals come together to learn and share best practices.

The S-HUB community offers its members access to regular meetings of sub-networks, organised across different company functions and roles, as well as leading annual events and informal peer to peer gatherings, with an emphasis on strategic and practical sustainability.

Be it through the S-HUB strategic boards, network partners or event partners, S-HUB is actively working with its members, collaborators and volunteers to build a network of the most ambitious companies and frontrunners to inspire, guide and integrate sustainability within the core business strategy of Norwegian companies. Thanks to active participation and input from members, S-HUB is a member community challenging professionals to push the possibilities of sustainable business, in a learning environment that empowers leaders with the knowledge and tools to enable greater sustainability transformation in their respective companies.

Empowering businesses with sustainability at their core

Each company has potential to create a positive impact through their business. The core business strategy can be enhanced, pivoted and help to serve as a tool to create business opportunities, competitive advantage and real scalable impact.  S-HUB’s mission is to be the network of peers, practical knowledge and inspiration for you to empower and enable the corporate sustainability potential in your company.

Background

Sustainable business is becoming the norm. Nordic investors are increasingly integrating environmental, social and governance into their investments, and indications are that sustainability investments do not come at a cost, but rather lead to superior returns. The success of companies such as Interface, NextEra Energy, Vow and Patagonia, which have put sustainability at the heart of their business model is a clear testament to this. While sustainability efforts are accelerating globally, most Norwegian companies have yet to integrate sustainability into their main corporate strategy. Our state of sustainability reports indicate that only a minority of companies in Norway have linked their business strategy to the company's impact on the environment and society. It is clear that the business community needs to act faster. The world is on a path towards sustainability, but are we progressing fast enough along that path?
