Why did you choose to partner with S-HUB?
As a key player in delivering tools and guidance on how to adequately collect, quality assure, and report climate and sustainability data, it is important for us to continue to build and share our knowledge and exchange experiences. S-HUB is a relevant and inspiring network which includes several of our customers, and arenas such as these are a valuable contribution to the UN sustainable development goals.
Why now?
As a company we’ve been directly involved with sustainability issues since 1992, and we are happy to see that such issues have moved to the forefront of the public mind in the last few years. This is a great time to cooperate to meet the challenges that we face.
How does Emisoft organize the sustainability-role within the company, and why?
Sustainability is part of each employee’s everyday work tasks, and we all take an interest in these matters for both us and our customers. It is a field that is rapidly evolving, and keeping our knowledge current is important to us.
We pass around the responsibility of our annual sustainability reporting to create awareness and ownership. We use our in-house developed solution “GHG 123”, created with our 30 years of experience in this field. And of course we present our results and progress to all our employees.
How do you engage Emisoft's stakeholders in your sustainability work?
Naturally, it is important for us that our employees are up to speed on important sustainability topics. We have quizzes at social events and gatherings, we also have lunches with prepared discussion topics and often promote internal discussions on relevant topics as it’s at the core of our deliveries. We make use of digital platforms to facilitate this, to include our people from other sites.
To our customers we are an important partner in their sustainability journey. We believe in being honest and specific in our advice, and in helping our customers find the potential for sustainability in their business. We often present on various sustainability topics to our customers’ employees to raise awareness.
- Working together with companies to reduce their carbon footprint and other environmental impacts
- Using well-known standards and frameworks such as the GHG protocol which provides the structure for our main product
- Documenting and improving our own environmental footprint
- Having diversity in our work force is an extra factor for us to evolve as a company
