Tord Dale, Head of Sustainability at Hovedorganisasjonen Virke discussed the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and upcoming EU regulations, and how they impact Norwegian businesses.
“2020 was the year that changed procurement as we know it forever.”
Ingrid Håvik, Sustainable Sourcing Manager at Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels) highlighted emerging procurement trends and shared insights on the company’s journey towards a more sustainable value chain – navigating regulations, organisational demands and delivering on sustainable impact.
“We don't have enough resources to fix the world”.
Marius Langseth, Assistant Professor at Kristiania University College, discussed the complexities of the field of Sustainable Public Procurement. He emphasised the crucial role of strategic procurement in promoting sustainability, particularly in light of the forthcoming rule change in 2024 that assigns a 30% weight to climate and environmental considerations. Marius also concluded that the Norwegian rules and regulations for sustainable public procurement are in place, but that we're lacking a good feedback system to see if we're in line, and where we're headed.
