From 2024, large companies will have to report according to EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
A first set of reporting standards have been developed, and it is expected that more standards will be developed over the coming years.
-->So, what opportunities, dilemmas, and future use can be seen in the near horizon for companies implementing sustainability reporting?
In this deep dive session Kathrine Moe Boye (KPMG) shard her experiences with sustainability reporting practice, and Knut Bergo (BI Department of Law and Governance) outlined status and potential future developments in regulatory framework.

🌱More about the programme: 🌱
1. Kathrine Moe Boye, KPMG: Observations from an ambitious practitioner:
The effect of sustainability reporting depends (among other things) on how they are implemented in companies, the quality of data and the
discretionary assessments of the reporters, and the extent to which the results are impacting company strategy.
2. Knut Bergo, BI: (Un)certainties
Future regulatory framework and inherent dilemmas.
3. Plenary discussion: led by Andreas Friis (Chair at Sustainability Hub Norway).
What will it take for sustainability reporting to become 💫an effective driver for value💫, and not just a box-ticking exercise? / Q&A
