Our long-term goal is to make S-HUB News the natural gathering place and leading platform for sustainability news in Norway. We welcome guest writers to contribute and share their knowledge!

Two target articles

We mainly post two different types of articles with two different goals:

News for knowledge - Articles that aim to increase knowledge around a specific sustainability topic - typically written by an expert in a specific field.
Opinions for constructive debate - Opinion pieces that aim to increase discussion and reflections around sustainability.

What topics do we cover?

At S-HUB we are firm believers that there is a huge potential to learn across sectors so we are looking for contributions from a wide variety of industries. Our target audience is business oriented, so the topics we cover fall in the intersection of sustainability and business. Specific categories are under development and will be published shortly.

Who can write articles?

We encourage interested parties from all sectors to submit articles; business and private sector, public sector, academia, organizations and individual thought leaders and professionals.

    Writing support

We prefer that the people closest to sustainability projects and initiatives author their own articles. However, we can assist if you don’t feel confident in your writing. We can help with editing, invite you to an interview piece or have our editorial team write the article.

    How to get started?

To ensure a high level of quality and relevance on our website, S-HUB will evaluate articles, and potentially make edits before publishing. To ensure your article is relevant to our community, take a look at our Editorial Requirements below, and feel free to contact us to discuss your piece.

    Editorial Requirements

    • Solutions-oriented Articles - Our audience is committed to sustainability and they are aware of the problems our society currently faces. Focus your article on solutions, rather than explaining the problems.
    • No Greenwashing, Pitching or Selling - S-HUB promotes sustainability initiatives yes, but only with the purpose of sharing knowledge and increase learning. We wish to showcase examples of good practices and initiatives that are resourceful for our readers, but the News Platform is not an advertising space. Before writing about your business/project/initiative, ask yourself if the article gives the audience an opportunity to learn something new that can help accelerate Norwegian sustainability initiatives.
    • Less is more - We aim for short or medium length articles to increase learning gains. Get in touch with our editor before engaging on a long article.
    • 1 article = 1 subject - Stay on topic throughout your article. We know there is much to say about this field, but if you have lots to write about, you can submit multiple articles!
    • Sources & Links - When you use external sources, include the link or reference in the text and we will create a weblink.
    • English Language - S-HUB's audience is international and our working language is English. Our editorial team can help with editing, but please write and submit the original article in English.
    • Author Bio - Include a short bio and a picture for your article's byline and your Content Contributor profile on the website.

Don't be intimidated by these requirements. If you are unsure whether your article or idea is relevant to the S-HUB Community, just get in touch with us!
